|
| High school diploma or GED; valid SC driver's license. Performs intermediate semi-skilled work in a variety of grounds and facility maintenance activities in order to maintain the appearance and beauty of the Florence community. Work is performed under general and regular supervision. Performs general grounds maintenance activities to include; mowing, weeding, mulching, weed eating, pruning, raking, cleaning and the like. Plants flowers, trees and shrubs and maintains landscape beds. Applies fertilizer and other chemicals (herbicides and pesticides) necessary for growth and/or weed control. Cleans in and around plaza/breezeway areas, City Center parking lot, streets and curbsides to clear away accumulated debris and other areas as may be necessary. Collects refuse and trash from downtown, plaza/breezeway areas, City Center parking lot and other areas as necessary. Transports materials, equipment and supplies as needed. Operates mowers, tractor, utility trucks, hand and power tools/equipment and similar equipment. Inspects facilities and vehicles to determine condition, concerns or safety hazards. Performs basic repairs to irrigation and facilities, which includes plumbing and carpentry. Performs basic preventive maintenance and repairs to lawn and maintenance equipment. Performs all other duties as may be required to meet organizational goals. Eligible candidate must successfully complete a background check, interview and drug check.

| Must have own tools, must have transportation, valid SCDL, strong carpentry skills, strong plumbing skills, extensive HVAC experience (Certified), must be available for after hours calls, uniform provided, drug free, minimum 8 years experience as Maintenance Tech, good communication skills. |
