Lake City Campus

Florence-Darlington Technical College operates an off-campus site located inside the Continuum in Lake City that provides post-secondary public education in various disciplines. The primary responsibility of the site is to service the surrounding communities with affordable, comprehensive, and technical education emphasizing curriculum and continuing education courses.

The Lake City Campus officially opened on March 21, 1997, and later moved to its current location at the Continuum in 2019. The Continuum is a 46,000-square-foot regional center for education, innovation, and technical training. FDTC is part of a consortium with Francis Marion University and the Darla Moore Foundation which allows our Lake City Campus to be housed in this state-of-the-art facility.

Our campus provides opportunities for students to participate in courses that lead to 2-year degrees, certifications in technical and workforce development skills, and dual enrollment courses for high school students. We offer regular lecture and distance learning classrooms and several labs for biology, chemistry, CNA, HVAC, IMT/Mechatronics, and welding. We also have two computer labs available for our students.
