College Level Examination Placement
The College Level Examination Program is a group of standardized tests created and administered by the College Board. These tests assess college-level knowledge in thirty-six subject areas and provide a mechanism for earning college credits without taking college courses. Students attending other colleges may schedule their CLEP testing at the FDTC Testing Center for their convenience.
- Register for the CLEP exam online ($85 fee) clep.collegeboard.org.
- Pay the $25 FDTC proctoring fee (payable at the Business Office in-person 5000 Building, 2nd Floor, by phone – 843.661.8307 or 843.661.8308 or by cash (exact change) at the Testing Center).
- Schedule your CLEP exam here!
CLEP exams are administered at the Main Campus only and are 90 minutes and cannot be retaken within a 90-day period.
Day of testing:
- Bring your receipt from FDTC business office
- Bring your Collegeboard CLEP entrance ticket
- Bring your valid State ID or Driver’s License
