Federal Work-Study Program
What is Work Study?
The FWS Program at Florence-Darlington Technical College provides funds that are earned through part-time employment to assist students in financing the costs of education. Many of the part time jobs available through the work-study program are on campus positions. These positions allow students a flexible schedule that works around class times and eliminates problems associated with commuting back and forth to a job.
The hourly wage for work studies at Florence-Darlington Technical College is $7.75 Schedules may vary but students work between ten and twenty hours per week.

In order to be eligible to participate in the Federal Work Study program, students must demonstrate financial need and be enrolled at least 6 credit hours. During summer, students must be enrolled in at least one class. Work study participants must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and be making satisfactory academic progress. A completed financial aid file is required to determine eligibility for the work study program.
