Student Ambassadors Program

Student ambassadors serve in a leadership capacity and also assist with a variety of activities as well as fundraising projects and with hosting special events.

Applicants must be:

  • Full-time students at FDTC
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.5
  • Enrolled at FDTC during Fall and Spring Semesters of the academic year for which they are applying to serve

What are the benefits of becoming a Student Ambassador?

  • Being an active and dynamic member of a student service organization
  • Assuming leadership roles, improving communication skills and fostering relationships with the entire student body.
  • The opportunity to network with fellow students, alumni, the community, FDTC employees and the Administration.
  • Participate in college events, learn all about the college, its programs, resources and services and be able to share this knowledge with new and prospective students.
  • Annual meetings with the President and the Executive Staff of the College.

Student leaders are selected on the basis of:

  • Previous work experience
  • Knowledge of FDTC
  • Demonstrated people skills
  • Leadership
  • Scholarship

Additionally, students should possess a warm and friendly manner, sincerity, patience, flexibility, dependability, and maturity of judgment, enthusiasm, punctuality, and a willingness to follow a prescribed set of rules.

As a representative of Florence-Darlington Technical College, ambassadors will be required to represent all aspects of campus life objectively. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, in keeping with college policies.
