The awards, announced this past week, highlight the chapter’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service.

Among the accolades bestowed upon the FDTC PTK chapter are:

  1. Most Improved Chapter: This esteemed award underscores the chapter’s dedication to continuous improvement and growth. Through innovative initiatives and tireless efforts, the chapter has demonstrated remarkable progress, making significant strides in enhancing its impact within the college community and beyond.
  2. Five Star Chapter Plan: 3 Star Level: By achieving the 3 Star Level within the Five Star Chapter Plan, FDTC’s PTK chapter has showcased its unwavering commitment to excellence across various areas, including membership development, leadership development, scholarship, service, and fellowship. This recognition reaffirms the chapter’s status as a dynamic force for positive change.
  3. Five Star Advisor: A pinnacle of recognition within the PTK community, this award was bestowed upon FDTC Chapter Advisor April Cudd in honor of her exceptional leadership, guidance, and mentorship. Cudd’s unwavering dedication to the success and well-being of the chapter members has been instrumental in shaping the chapter's achievements and fostering a culture of excellence.

These regional awards serve as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion exhibited by the members and advisors of the FDTC PTK chapter.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude to be selected to receive these three awards,” PTK Advisor April Cudd said. “I could have not done it without the help of Hannah Harpe, co-advisor, Alpha Chi Pi chapter of PTK.  She is an outstanding pillar of leadership and an asset to this community."

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for colleges and academic programs. With a focus on scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship, PTK empowers students to reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their communities.
