Program overview

This course will instruct students in basic skills and knowledge, preparing them for careers in the plumbing industry. Students will gain hands-on practice, as well as instruction delivered through lecture. Students will be prepared to sit for the National Center for Construction and Education Reseasrch (NCCER) Level 1 Plumbing certification, a nationally and industry recognized credential.

    • Introduction to the Plumbing Profession
    • Plumbing Safety
    • Tools of the Plumbing Trade
    • Introduction to Plumbing Math
    • Introduction to Plumbing Drawings
    • Plastic Pipe and Fittings
    • Copper Tube and Fittings
    • Cast Iron Pipe and Fittings
    • Steel Pipe and Fittings
    • Introduction to Plumbing Fixtures
    • Introduction to Drain, Waste, and Vent (DMV) Systems
    • Introduction to Water Distribution Systems
