Office of Apprenticeships

South Carolina is known across the nation for its support of apprenticeships as a proven workforce development tool. Apprenticeship program development is driven by employers. FDTC’s Office of Apprenticeships works with area employers, in conjunction with Apprenticeship Carolina™, to guide them into registering apprenticeship programs with the U.S. Department of Labor, and qualifying for existing tax credits and tuition support to train apprentices. Once apprenticeship programs are registered with employers, the Office of Apprenticeships then works to promote apprenticeship opportunities and to recruit apprentices for employers.
