Open Enrollment and Spring Registration has begun at FDTC

Published:

Open registration for the Spring 2027 semester at Florence-Darlington Tech (FDTC) is now open, giving students the opportunity to take the next step toward a new career, complete a college degree, earn credits to transfer to a four-year institution or simply take classes to enrich their lives.

Students and families can also learn more about FDTC during the college's upcoming Open House on Oct. 17, which provides an in-depth look at the college and an opportunity to meet current and future Stingers. Attendees can tour campus facilities, explore FDTC's degree, diploma and certificate programs, and learn more about student life and financial aid.

Scholarship raffles will be held at 10 a.m. during Open House. Participants must be present to win. Register for the Open House at fdtc.edu/open-house.

Prospective students are encouraged to begin the admissions process and discover the many pathways available at FDTC. Whether students are beginning college for the first time, returning to complete a degree or looking to gain new skills, FDTC offers affordable and accessible options designed to help students reach their goals.

“We want every student to know that FDTC can be a starting point for whatever comes next,”FDTC Admissions Director, Antonio McFarland said. “From affordable tuition and financial assistance to personalized advising and career-focused programs, we are committed to helping our students turn their goals into opportunities. We look forward to welcoming new and returning students to Stinger Nation for Spring 2027.”

One of the biggest advantages of attending FDTC is affordability. The college offers cost-effective tuition along with numerous financial assistance opportunities, helping reduce the financial barriers associated with earning a college education. Students can pursue high-quality education while minimizing the burden of student loan debt.

FDTC also provides a supportive learning environment focused on individual student success. Smaller class sizes allow students to work more closely with instructors, participate actively in discussions and receive personalized feedback. Students also have access to resources including tutoring, counseling and academic advising to help them overcome challenges and stay on track toward their educational goals.

For students planning to continue their education at a four-year institution, FDTC offers articulation agreements with colleges and universities across South Carolina. These agreements create seamless transfer pathways that allow students to complete coursework at FDTC before pursuing a bachelor's degree, providing an opportunity to save money while earning a quality education.

With Spring 2027 registration now open, prospective students are encouraged to start their journey today and begin the admissions process.
