First-Time Freshman

A student smiles

We are so excited that you have chosen FDTC as the first stop on your college journey. We know the experience of attending college for the first time can be both scary and exciting. We are here to help make this process as easy as possible for you.

Follow the 7 steps below and you'll be attending classes before you know it!

Step 1: Apply to FDTC

The easiest step of the whole process is to simply APPLY!

Complete your online application here!

DACA applicants should start here.

Step 2: We Need a Few Things From You

We need you to send us your official high school transcript or GED and any test scores that you might have. Some applicants may be eligible for an Admission Waiver or Provisional Acceptance.

Official High School Transcript or GED

Send an Official High School Transcript/GED electronically to admissions@fdtc.edu or by mail to:

Sealed Transcripts/GED may also be submitted directly to the Admissions Office in the 5000 Building, Room 5316.

Are you a high school senior who has not yet graduated? Don’t wait! Have your counselor send your current transcript to admissions@fdtc.edu.

Test Scores

Test scores are not required for admission to FDTC but are used for placement in classes. Read more about Placement Tests.

If you have SAT, ACT, or Accuplacer scores within the past 5 years, please submit your Official Score Report electronically to admissions@fdtc.edu or by mail to:
