Apply for Scholarships
*THE SPRING 2025 APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED*
STUDENTS WHO ARE SELECTED FOR AWARDS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN JANUARY BEFORE THE START OF SPRING CLASSES.
Florence-Darlington Technical College's Educational Foundation offers eligible students a variety of needs-based scholarships with specific eligibility criteria. These scholarships help students to pay for tuition, books, and program supplies with the overall goal of removing barriers for student success.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for an FDTC Educational Foundation Scholarship a student must:
- Be enrolled in an eligible program for at least 6 credit hours
- Maintain a minimum 2.50 cumulative institutional GPA
- Have a complete Admissions file with appropriate test scores and high school records
- Have completed the FAFSA for the appropriate academic year
- Complete the FDTC Educational Foundation Scholarship Application by the deadline
Additional Information
- Depending on the individual scholarship, students who are enrolled at less than full-time status may not be eligible for the full scholarship award.
- Applicants will be notified of their award status through mail. Letters are mailed to the student's address on file with the college.
- If a student fails to register for classes or withdraws from the college, the scholarship award will be forfeited. Scholarship awards are to be used during the term for which they are originally intended and cannot be transferred to another term.
- Foundation scholarships are recommendations made by the scholarship committee. If a recommended award interferes with a student’s financial aid, adjustments may be made to the recommended award to include reduction or removal based on financial aid guidelines.
- Students who are awarded a scholarship can expect scholarship funds to be credited to their FDTC student accounts prior to the start of the awarded semester. Awards cannot be given until grades for the prior semester are posted.
