FDTC Expands EMT Program to Mullins and Hartsville Campuses
Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) is expanding its Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program to its Mullins and Hartsville campuses.
These new offerings will make it more convenient for students across the Pee Dee region to access high-quality training for one of the most in-demand and essential professions in healthcare. The course is designed as an accelerated program that will prepare students to sit for the National Registry EMT (NREMT) Exam.
Michael Chappell, EMS Program Manager at FDTC, said the expansion represents an exciting new opportunity for the region.
“We’re thrilled to be starting a new EMT class in Hartsville and Mullins,” he said. “This program will be a great benefit to the community, providing essential training, helping address job shortages, and preparing individuals for rewarding careers in emergency medical services. We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact this will bring to the region.”
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a fast-paced career where graduates can use their knowledge and skills to truly make a difference in their communities. Students will receive foundational instruction and hands-on experience to build the confidence and expertise needed to provide life-saving care.
Classes will begin in Mullins on August 18 and in Hartsville on August 25.
Enrollment is now open for EMT classes at all FDTC sites. Interested students can learn more and apply at www.fdtc.edu.
